I invented this game over 20 years ago

( & it's now been revived much to the joy of my children )

Of course it's stupid, utterly ridiculous etc, BUT it is very good fun.

It can be played anywhere in the world and is absolutely free.

How to play The PEG GAME ?

You will need a handful of standard clothes pegs.

Each Peg is worth 10 points.

The aim is to "PEG" unsuspecting targets with the pegs and photograph the results ( see above *20 points )

You can work in teams or play solo.

Special-Targets are worth extra-bonus-points. ( Andy Coulson's front door for example )

Celebs. Politicians. Brides & grooms, supermarket shoppers. In-fact the list is endless; feel free to express your creativity.

Busy pubs, bars, public transport, weddings & funerals are great venues to play the game.

Please take the pegs out with you whenever you wish to play.

Welcome to The PEG GAME ?

*children for obvious reasons are a no-go area

Set-up's will be disqualified

So, as committed as the above image is, I'm having to disqualify you in this instance.

I'm having a very guilty flashback of the day we got a supply teacher in science at school and did the same thing to her with about 50 crocodile clips.

The whole class was in hysterics, she didn't know why, but knew she'd lost control. She dashed off to the staff room to get support and by all accounts the whole room erupted with laughter when she got there and the poor woman burst into uncontrollable tears.

Is that 100 bonus points?

*And we were the top stream at my school!

Ahhhh...

I read this an hour ago & I'm still laughing.

I do love the phrase "done for bullying"

No new mother, never; but I did once, for about 2 minutes over-persecute a boy in my year, only to be smacked square on the nose by his huge friend. Leaving me with claret all down my shirt blouse.

That as they say "Learned me"

However, *ahem*.....

I did have a particular skill for filling other peoples heads with my "creative" ideas or plans. What you might call a B.I ( bad influence ). Teachers still recoil from me remember me to this day. One or two even decide to leave the school the same year as I left, choosing to pursue other careers.

As for age, well put it this way. I can clearly remember the days of punk rock & two-tone.

Now, on with The PEG GAME ?

NETTE(tu)

* adds new mother to; the list *

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
