Sue
malumbu Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> I was ill camping in Lombok and threw up outside> the tent. I watched a rodent eat it later. > Precious. My parents used to have a dog which would be sick, then eat the sick, then be sick again, and so on and so on. Ad nauseam. Literally. Often whilst we were eating :(Though possibly that wasn't as bad as when I was travelling many moons ago and stayed with the the Mentawai people in Siberut (island off Sumatra) who kept pigs. The pigs used to eat the shit which fell beneath the hut (on stilts) from a toilet hole, and the people then ate the pigs. Unluckily for us, one was slaughtered and eaten whilst we were there :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/183441-waking-up-in-your-own-vomit/#findComment-1222797 Share on other sites

Angelina
are you vegan Sue?If not, what's the problem with killing a pig? It probably lived a better life than many pigs in EU farms. And yes, it was cold last night, but that's a step too far Lavender27 and you know it. BrandNewGuy
We were in a pub with our kids when they were little and one of them went extremely pale. My other half realised that he was going to hurl, so quickly grabbed the nearest receptacle to hand ? an empty pint glass. And the lad vomited *exactly a pint*. We almost felt like celebrating. The main diet of the Mentawai people was sago, supplemented with the occasional small fish. I'm sure they welcomed a change. If memory serves, they used to eat monkeys, but there were none left on the island as their predecessors (is that the right word?) had killed them all :(I have a bit of a problem with eating pork from a pig who has been eating human shit. And it would have been considered extremely rude not to. It was considered a feast. So I did.ETA: And no, I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, and I wasn't in those days either. I won't knowingly eat factory farmed meat or other animal products, though.ETA: Come to think of it, there were a lot of chickens about the hut, so they must have had eggs. And the occasional chicken. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/183441-waking-up-in-your-own-vomit/#findComment-1222886 Share on other sites

Ms Blueberry
waking up in your own vomit is a sign of an alcohol problem. and if there is a problem, you won't be happy or even able to do the following. for one week, have 4 days with no alcohol, and only drink half bottle of wine on the other 3. no doubt you're a party animal and don't have a problem. but you may think differently in 10 or 20 years when you're facing breast cancer. happy friday night. DulwichFox
Waking up in such circumstances is preferable to Not waking up. People die inhaling or choking on their own vomit. Especially where Drink and/or drugs are involved.
