Fuschia
Lolhttp://www.mom-101.com/2011/07/breastmilk_baby_doll_launches.html'And then? I imagine your formerly sweet little girl will be wanting to carry it in a sling instead of pushing it in a stroller like God intended. Before you know it, she?s feeding that baby doll homemade organic baby food from some communist food CSA, pre-registering it for a Waldorf preschool, selling the family TV, and refusing to shave her armpit hair.' Saffron
Not the first breastmilk babydoll I've seen, but definitely the funniest! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18515-breast-milk-baby-doll-blog/#findComment-455959 Share on other sites
GinaG3
Laughing at quotes like 'it sexualises our little girls', I fail to see it. If anything it teaches them the 'proper' function of breasts and I could think of 1,000,001 other things that sexualise girls being marketed for children or seen by them on daily occasion! Agreed you shouldn't be needing to spend $89 to let your child have a doll where all you essentially need is some imagination (..kids have that, right?!) Christ, I sat there untold nights having Winnie, Tigger and Piglet put to my boobs and being told to feed them, infact she even tried it herself! My daughter does everything with her dolls, even brushing their non-existent hair. And hers don't even poo, or wee, or feed! cuppa tea
Very true GinaG3. How ridiculous really. Found my son breastfeeding a doll at a toddler group recently. It was a very proud moment for me, but he didn't need a special doll to do it....you don't even get that at the breastfeeding workshop!! Just a way of making money unfortunately. GinaG3
Its already grossed $2 million dollars across Europe. I get it but I don't at the same time. I also dont disagree with the message it gives to young girls, but I do argue it might be a little early to go full blown with a doll like that. bluesuperted
Loved this post F and some of the comments are hilarious. Agree any doll, cuddly, truck can just as easily be bf'ed - cuppatea, I'd love to see my little boy doing that in a few months time, we shall see!! ad2000
Yip, my (4 year old) son has tried to breastfeed dolls and various teddies since his sister was born five months ago. He even tried to help me pump some milk..... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18515-breast-milk-baby-doll-blog/#findComment-456082 Share on other sites
