Having waited 1/2hr for a 484, then had the driver refuse to open the backdoors to let me on with bugglet in the buggy, luckily there was another mum at the same stop so with group effort on the fuss front he did finally let us on.

Another lady on the bus told us his bad mood + the long wait was due to him clipping a car round the corner from our stop (don't get why other 484's didn't get by though as the 343's seemed to be running ok!).

Doesn't look good for when I have to rely on this bus to & from work in a couple of months :(

I've had a driver (a woman driver, even!) not let me on with a buggy at all. She said there was no room, but there clearly was. I contacted TFL about it. They said they take complaints very seriously. To make a formal complaint, make a note of the time, the bus route and location of the stop, and driver no. if possible.
Oooh, thanks for reminding me - made sure I took a photo of the contact info so I could do an email! Can't believe how narrow the walkway is between getting on and the buggy bit... am sure Mum's and children must be one of the groups that keeps routes like this going so deserve better!

The fact that my husband and kids are away (for a whole week - yippee!!), I had no reason at all to be up this morning, yet I was wide awake at 6am. I blame being pregnant... is the baby's way of reminding me that I'll never rest again?!

On the plus side, I'm off to Bluewater for a day's shopping :)

Thanks ladies - I "came out" on the winter baby club thread, kind of forgot that most of you wouldn't read that one! Yes, number 3 is due January. I'm officially a nutter.

I have had a lovely day, spent money I don't have at Bluewater and just back from a manicure. This is the life :)

    • The problem with delivery people nowadays is that they are on such a restrictive schedule that they literally have to just try to deliver and run, otherwise they are penalised. I understand the frustration though.   And good luck making any kind of complaint to Evri. I once sold a laptop on ebay, took it to the Evri pick-up, where it was processed and it then went 'missing' between their pick-up place and the hub. Went through a long, long process where they offered me a desultory amount in compensation and I had to take them to small claims court before they came up with a fair offer the day before we were due to be in court. Long story short, Evri are shite.   Go to look at this forum for the number of people who have issues: https://nationalconsumerservice.co.uk/forum/183-postal-and-delivery-services/
    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
