Does anyone else have madly-flapping butterflies inside their stomachs in respect of United, City, Sunderland, Bolton, Stoke and QPR?...I almost can't bear it!

Edited again to say: fucking hell...unbelievable climax...City in (by the skin of their teeth)...QPR stay...well done...glad it's over...Jesus, I need a lie down...

PS: Bloody Tevez;-)

Yeaaaa

Boy oh boy it was nail biting 'til the finish. That was a great end to a great season & i'm jolly glad that QPR stay up

Arsenal gave me a near heart attack but pulled it off just in time (phew)

Totter's ?

All that's needed is a Bayern Munich win and it will have been pretty damm good all round

Netts

I had hope there for a while but City did the sort of thing United have done a few times themselves. Respect to Hart, Kompany, Toure, Silva & Aguero. None for a few of the others. They probably have Everton to thank for the title though which is only a reflection on how David Moyes must be as a manager.

I expect I won't be the only one to wish BM luck in the CL Final.

Gutted that we got so close after thinking pre-game Citeh would have it all sewn up by half time.

I'm glad QPR stayed up because they gave it a good go, just wasn't to be.

An amazing end to an amazing season, congrats to Citeh and of course our very own BR, enjoy the moment!

Messrs Lineker and Barton are apparently having a bit of a ding-dong on twitter.

I gather Barton is threatening to publically out Gary's philandering ways, or 'fleet street's worst kept secret' as it's otherwise known.

Barton is an absolute arse and no mistake, but that I'd quite like to see.

Barton IS an arse but I can't help liking him - everyone explodes now and again and he's bound to be punished for it (and Mr Clean is due a come-uppance).

I think Barton's frustrations were borne out of the realisation that the move to QPR was a bad one and has stymied what he believes should be a stellar career - but like I say, he IS an arse.

Didn't he used to play for Tottering Hotspuds? Well played City. Barton is nothing better than a thug with delusions of becoming an intellectual by trotting out qoutes he's read. Let's hope if he gets locked up , AGAIN, they chuck the key away. Just wish Barton and Kompany hadn't been seperated during the red card aftermath, Kompany would've shredded the little coont.

No, he's just awful. I know he provides entertainment of the daft sort, but he represents all the awfulness of modern football, or at least any bits that Terry didn't have covered.

Interestingly the telegraph covered the twitter row verbatim apart forom the one quote about revelaing squeaky clean linekar for what he is.

How did gary get such a pliant press. Either he has some really juicy info on all the proprieters or he did a deal with the devil (or satan is a shareholder in Walkers crisps).

Exactly. Spot on. He never got near the first team. Definitely his revenge. The facking cunt must be a Gooner in disguise.

Anyway, surely even you Gooners don't want Chelsea to win the Champions League? You'll never hear the end of it if they do. Come on Bayern!

    • Just as one example, the grass in a least some of  the tree pits in Ulverscroft Road appears to have been sprayed. If it's not the council who has done it, then I wonder if someone is trying to kill the trees 😭 although I doubt if that would work, as the council have sprayed tree pits in the past (ignoring handwritten notices by my then very young grandchildren asking them not to spray as they had sowed flower seeds there) 🤬 Grass in the pavement nearby appears to have been neither sprayed nor scraped out. I'm quite confused.
    • They aren't. They are removing them manually, scraping and cutting them out. I've seen them doing it on my road and surrounding roads. I can't imagine that they would have different methods in different parts of East Dulwich.
    • I see. But as I read it, Tesco would still need the agreement of the owners/ leaseholder to submit proposals, so would need Poundland’s cooperation? I suppose we’ll have to wait while this plays out. There’s applications re this site on the Southwark planning portal dating back over 70 years. In 1954, Woolworth’s applied to convert the original 4 shops here (Nos 29-35) into one Woolies but the council refused because the flats above the shops would be lost and there was a local housing shortage following the war. Small businesses being displaced by big chains on Lordship Lane was already a trend back then.
    • I see what you mean.  Perhaps the "alcohol licensing flyer for Tesco Express on the Poundland site" confirmed by the OP has been removed then.
