Definitely interesting. And if they back down its a complete Buck up.

Good summing up from the Guardian.

More questions should be asked, surely, if they decide not to pursue the matter. That, however, is not completely out of the question, believe it or not, and it is slightly disconcerting to hear from within Stamford Bridge that the club have not yet fully decided whether to proceed. Having come so far, they surely have to. And if not? The FA then has to launch a separate investigation into why.

The FA's disciplinary commission criticised Chelsea because of the "evolving" nature of Cole's submissions for Terry's hearing, heavily implicating the club secretary, David Barnard, because of "materially defective" evidence. The accused are now the accusers and, much like Clattenburg, cannot afford to get this one wrong.

To be fair, I thought at 4 -4 a replay was on the cards. Isn't that what used to happen in this competition?

When I wrote my post, exactly the same point you made came to mind. But I feel the referee would know he would be under so much sccrutiny that he would soon get found out if he was showing any bias, and then rightly thrown out of the game. Fans will always come out of with their conspiracy theories, let's not bend to them...

As ???? is busy I've offered to check and update scores...table to follow

Hmm, other problems with that. It would be important not to disincentivise engagement after an injury absence.

Being a statistical moron, I'm wondering whether the fairest result would be to multiply the average score by the percentage of weeks played?

As in played 6 weeks from 7 for an average score of 7 would result in a score of 6?

After the last couple of days a maybe a foray into the FA cup (from 3rd round?)?

Based on a knockout system with bottom two dropping out of each round up to the semi when (if the 11 above were all that entered there would be 3 left by then so 1 would drop out leavng 2 to contest final)?

What do you mean some people's only chance of rescuing their season is a good cup run?!?? B)

    • Thanks for these responses. Yes, Cllr Browning & Cllr Hartley did a door-knocking exercise a couple of months ago. It was Maggie Browning who knocked and I told her that I'd had radio silence from Jon Hartley. She looked embarrassed but not surprised. I have spoken to him since, only after writting to Ellie Reeves, our MP about it his lack of response. He agreed to address the issue I asked about but I've not heard from him since. It's really not acceptable for an elected Councillor to consistently ignore his ward constituents. Since it's clearly not a one-off, I'm gonna pick this up formally. I'll let you know how I get on...
    • If memory serves, Labour under Corbyn got more electoral  votes than Labour under Starmer. So I'm not sure how you can call that being "unelectable"? Under a different and fairer electoral system Labour would have won. I see moves are afoot to bring in such a different, fairer system, presumably in the hopes of stopping Reform winning next time. BTW there was a mass exodus from Labour  by  the local (East Dulwich) Labour party members when Corbyn was kicked out by Starmer. It isn't just Islington who doesn't want to support  a right or centre right Labour party.
    • Is this the new shop next to Dulwich Tandoori? is it actually open and if so has anyone tried them.
    • It was The Brickhouse - we liked them and it was very sad when they had to close
