Should be a cracker, big away support, might have to break my embargo...

Well done Swansea, outplayed the Arsenal in every department, only the keeper can hold his head high. Massive chnage needed and not I'm not just talking about the board. The players have no passion or spirit in their performances, so it's not just the manager or the board. The players need to take a huge portion of the blame for the current malaise. Almost as bad the nightmare reign of Terry Neil. I'm not sure it's fair to say that chucking at money at it (buying players), is the be and end all. Ah well.
You can imagine the joy at Lush Towers when the results were coming in on Saturday. I think I may have been the only one here to predict a Swansea win. Is that correct? I've thought that a result like that has been a long time coming. No disrespect to Swansea. I thought they were superb. What Arsenal seem to be lacking is leadership on the pitch. Too many individuals not pulling in the same direction. Wenger has a tough job on his hands to get things right. Do you think he's up to it or is it time to bade him au revoir?

I think Wenger has become a mouthpiece for the board and I don't think even he believes the lines he trots out anymore. While I accept he's been a fantastic manager for us, I think a fresh approach is required. Not sure who the club could get to come in and turn things around. But as I said in my previous post, it's not just Wenger and the board, and there many who believe it is, I think the players have a lot to answer for. Until they start delivering, the question of a new manager is almost a side issue. I think things will get better, but Champions League is not a given anymore. That in itself is a huge issue for a club that is still in debt as a result of the new stadium, and continues to publish attendance figures which seem to be at odds with number of bums on seats. Love the club with a vengance which makes the current situation all the harder to take!!!!!

Well I've always appreciated that they've always tried to play a passing game but Saturday's result against Chelski is all the more surprising because they were so poor at White Hart Lane the week before.

Weekend scores, very average, pull your socks up...

AM - 3 Correct Results + 2 Correct Scores = 9 pts

DR - 4 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 7 pts

?? - 3 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 6 pts

SC - 3 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 6 pts

EP - 2 Correct Results + 1 Correct Score = 5 pts

OT - 5 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 5 pts

RC - 5 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 5 pts

JL - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts

MM - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts

Mx - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts

PD - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts

RD - 4 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 4 pts

LG - 2 Correct Results + 0 Correct Scores = 2 pts

Apart from SC swapping places with LG, no positional changes in the table...

From the BBC Website

" 1039 FOOTBALL

Paris St Germain have begun talks with former

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola in the hope of

bringing him to the French capital next

summer, says French sport newspaper

L'Equipe.

Current coach Carlo Ancelloti has apologised

for the club's recent run of bad form which

has left them fourth in Ligue 1."

Please let this be true, just to disappoint Chelsea!

I'm struggling to understand what Wenger was trying to prove last night. We had a real opportunity to top the group but in his wisdom he put out a side of second stringers and unknowns. Not that we are likely to progress much beyond the next round anyway in our current malaise, but we are lacking any commitment from a host of players, combined with the boards compulsion with finance at the expense of all else. If this continues and we fail to qualify for Europe, the board may face a huge financial problem by missing out on the revenue that generates.

Given that topping the group guarantees no favourable draw, and given the weekends must win game against WBA, and given how leggy senior players have looked, I don't have a problem with Wenger's tactics last night. Also a chance for some second-stringers to show how they can (or can't) step up

But there is a much wider issue at Arsenal, much of which remains unknown and is yet to be played out I reckon

On the plus side, the rest of the PL is almost as kerazy this season so I reckon those top 4 places will remain open for quite a while yet

Wonderful documentary on TV lasting featuring Fabrice Muamba. What a lovely positive guy, he's breath of freash air in an otherwise egotistical, greedy, self centred environment. I wish the guy all the best for the future. It was lovely to see others in the game of football, including Paddy Vieira, talking about him in such glowing terms. The quote from the cardiologist that helped save his life was especially touching. When Muamba came out of his coma, the doc went to his bedside held his hand, whispered into his ear "I hear you're a good footballer" to which Muamba replied "I try". Doc said it brought atear to his eye.

And Chamakh! Wow, who knew he was still there? And still with that hair. Bless.

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
