That has to depend what you want/ expect from a burger - one person's great burger is another's disappointment. Some places do great non-beef burgers, for instance, but if minced beef is your thing, that won't please. There are great veggie-burgers, and people who would never touch them. For some, what goes with the pattie is important, for others the bun is key. The types and quality of accompanying chips, salad, relishes and so on can be deal breakers. The cost (value for money) can be key. The only way of finding your 'best' is to try some out. Or be very clear in what 'best' means to you.

i'm looking for the biggest, meatiest, cheesiest, condimentiest burger going.

not fussed about side dishes or price.

Honest Burger in Peckham is very good niall. As for ED apparently Meat Liquor is very good, but I haven't actually been there myself.

Slow Richie's without a shadow of a doubt. Although have to say the one I've just had at John the Unicorn was ptretty good too.

Neither ED though, sorry.

Not hipster. But the Lordship Pub does one (on the saturday menu only) that is very decent for a pub burger.
