Friernlocal,

I saw it around midday on Wednesday and took some photos which I've sent off to a Street Art website in New York. They have'nt used it so far; maybe it's not as amazing as some of the stuff that they carry from all around the world.

Well worth having a regular look at the site if you're interested; www.woostercollective.com

Cheers.

Ha! I saw it too as it's opposite my house. I thought it was someone chucking out their junk and admired the way they had creatively arranged it. Oh, and I helped myself to some kids books too, which I assume was ok as there was a couple of guys and a rubbish collection truck hovering to take it away.

Have often wondered if we could collectively organise one day a year where people can put out good quality unwanted items for others to reuse.

Look forward to that. I have a friend with a love of discarded furniture, from an artistic view point so there will be rich pickings! I've already snapped a few around ED, and have passed on Frienlocal's pic (hope you don't mind - I've not claimed the credit!)

Will also make sure, if this goes ahead, that I'm not moving house on that day....

    • Try pavement, this is London, not the US. The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A rouse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return.  Troubling and far too common here.  Just be careful where you get it out
    • Just saw one of them on lordship lane scanning the area on the sidewalks in a hood and mask on an e-bike.  I just pointed at them pretending that I was on the phone with the cops and he darted away.  Absolute scum. Hard problem to solve. I'm hopeful there are strategies in place to keep our community safe for this but it's troubling.
