I am posting this message as a favor for Maureen, who runs the one o'clock club.

The One O'clock will be closed from the 29th for a small break, and will re-open on the 2nd September for a pre-back to school FUN DAY.

The fun day will hold some stalls and bouncy castle. This is the raise more funds for the club as council funding is no longer available.

Any one can have a stall/table to sell at the fun day, so if you are interested either talk to maureen before hand or just turn up on the morning to set up (9am). A great chance to re-cycle old clothes, toys etc and make a little money!

A contribution of ?5 to have a pitch. Tables can be provided.

Also, if anyone has any toys, books, garden toys or anything play related that you no longer use and in reasonable condition, please consider kindly donating them to the one o'clock club, as funding is thin on the ground (this is more of a ongoing request, a opposed to the fun day).

The One o'clock club is also looking to find ways of raising funds for the long term, and as a community playgroup is looking for ideas or suggestions that they could consider from the local community. So if you have any thoughts or ideas, please chat to maureen, as i am sure she will appreciate any support from the community and users of the club.

One suggestion was to have a table top sale/ bootsale type thing (poss on a weekend morn or something...any views?)

Back to School FUN DAY on friday 2nd Sept 10am - 3pm

    • There seems to be a change in the reception staff - did not recognise a couple of them when I last visited.  Not sure whether one of the long term staff has retired as not seen her for a while.  Used on line facility as my podiatrist recommended antibiotics for a toe infection and also took photo of my toe which I attached yo my request. Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.

    • Oh give it a break.  We have an MP who makes racist comments, yet our media (and what seems like this Forum) that generally hate Labour (and loved Johnson) are just out looking for the dirt. It's a move on, nothing to see here.  Particularly if she used a letting agency.
