On Saturday 19 May, a group of sponsored runners will take part in the fourth annual Dulwich Park Cystic Fibrosis Fun Run. Adults (and children 14 and over) will run 5km or 10km around Dulwich Park at 10.30am - all in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The run is generously supported by Alleyn's School.

The fastest 10K adult runner will receive a year's free membership to the fantastic JAGS Sports Club. For more information about the run and to register, see www.dulwichrun.co.uk.

The fastest veteran (over 40!) man and woman, will receive a pair of state-of-the-art Saucony running shoes generously donated by East Dulwich's own running shop - Up and Running.

The aim of the run is to raise as much money as possible for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and to encourage you, the person who raises the most sponsorship will win a weekend away at the fabulous luxury Bovey Castle in Devon.

Blue Peter's Gethin Jones will be amongst the runners and at 12 noon, there will be a children's fun run of one mile. For a minimum donation of ?3, junior runners (under 14) will get a souvenier photo of Blue Peter's Gethin Jones (which he'll be happy to sign) and a medal at the finish. The fastest child over the finish line will also receive a year's free membership to the fantastic JAGS Sports Club.

So come along, support a local event and help raise much-needed money for a great cause.

    • A quick assessment on having a barter scheme amongst the community. An exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    I wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum? Or perhaps  an additional aspect of the forum itself if it was easy to include? I don’t have IT knowledge to set this up unfortunate, but I do have skills that I could offer. From past experience, it would probably work best as a direct exchange rather than coupon credit.    I may be flaunting the rules by posting on this twice, admin please feel free to delete one if this is the case.

Thank you for stepping up.   whilst I’m here, I was thinking it would be a good idea to have a barter scheme amongst the community. an exchange of goods and services may be really helpful during these difficult times.    wonder if it’s something that someone would be willing to set up separately and link to the forum?
