Hi,

We've notice a marked rise in the number of house flies barging into our abode and generally making a nuisance of themselves. We like to think we keep the place pretty clean, so I'm assuming it's just the time of year and 'one of those things'. Is anyone else playing reluctant host to these blighters and has anyone got any tips on what to do about getting shot of them. I've spent the past couple of nights hunting with a can of Raid, and while this was initially strangely enjoyable, the novelty has worn off. Any general titbits about their life cycles and preferred habitats might also be useful, cheers

Matt

I've actually shot one of those things.

If i'm right its a 44-Magnum ( in nickel )

When you pull the trigger it kicks up hard, a flash of flame rips out of the end & your chest goes "Uuuuhhh" as the air is knocked out by the force.

Really quite exhilarating.

    • Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.
