Huh... I used to live on CPR. One of my first experiences was getting grief from my neighbour for parking in "her" space! Unbelievable!

If it IS people trying to ensure cars don't park where THEY want to park THEIR cars, the conclusion could be that the perpetrators are very near. Shocking behaviour, because it implies that someone would rather damage your property than walk a few yards to their car.

If it's the SAME area being victimised, perhaps someone could put up a cam looking down at the area and encourage everyone to park there in the hope of capturing the baddie on film. It may mean sacrificing more tyres though..

Regular tyre damage might raise suspicions against those who benefit from new tyre sales or repairs in the area?

Does anyone know if there is a pattern to the make and model of car or the type, make or size of tyres or the geographical locations of such incidents?

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure it isn't about parking spaces...there is only one person around this area who "protects" his space by putting his bins out but nobody challenges it as there are usually other places to park, so I don't understand it at all. But/and it is annoying and expensive!

Eh? I wasnt being sarcastic.

I never knew that bit of the forum was there until quite recently when someone mentioned it. Probably hardly anybody else does either.

My post was written trying to be helpful

Why did you think it was sarcasm?

ETA: You asked for a number. I gave you one in good faith. Maybe a thank you would have been more in order than a nasty remark??

ETA: And maybe an apology?

ETA: For anyone else who doesn't know, you go to the Home page of this forum and on the top right hand side, next to the Forum tab, there's a greyed-out tab saying Local Info, which if you click on it brings up - Local Info

    • I have emailed [email protected] with a series of questions about the event including asking how many complaints were made to them and Gala, and how many times the readings went over the limit of decibels allowed, as well as asking about if they are satisfied with the state of the park afterwards and how much money will go directly to the park.  I asked quite a few pertinent and important questions.  Given the replies I think we shall have more ammunition to stop this next year.  However, if replies are refused or not answered in enough detail, a FOI shall be fired off and the responses to that shall be even more ammunition as it would have taken an FOI to acquire it.  Either way shall keep you informed.  If all of you who didn't turn up to meetings this year, turn up and join the rest of us next year, with all the information about how Events and Gala went against their word on what would happen, we may just stop this. Look, I can dream, ok?
