Best place for outdoor timber

Making a Pergoda. Well buying the wood anyway.

Normally buy stuff from Wickes, but can be very hit and miss. Sometimes spending a long time sorting through straight and warped timber. Generally avoid B&Q in OKR due to poor stock control unless something specific. Went to Premier Sheds in Streatham today but unexpectedly closed. Would have popped into Witten if I'd known.

Recommendations?

Depending what you want, I have used South London Timber on the OKR, very reasonable. see http://sltimber.co.uk/

I use Gibbs and Dandy on grove vale and they have always been helpful with selecting straighter less knotty lengths when possible. They have also delivered locally to me for free

Fulham timber in brixton, they deliver next day for ?6

Just buy regularised C16 timber - ie. the same stuff used for construction - it's planed and therefore a lot less warped than sawn or the crap they sell in B&Q
