malumbu
Making a Pergoda. Well buying the wood anyway.Normally buy stuff from Wickes, but can be very hit and miss. Sometimes spending a long time sorting through straight and warped timber. Generally avoid B&Q in OKR due to poor stock control unless something specific. Went to Premier Sheds in Streatham today but unexpectedly closed. Would have popped into Witten if I'd known.Recommendations? dbboy
Depending what you want, I have used South London Timber on the OKR, very reasonable. see http://sltimber.co.uk/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/195145-best-place-for-outdoor-timber/#findComment-1255580 Share on other sites
emu
I use Gibbs and Dandy on grove vale and they have always been helpful with selecting straighter less knotty lengths when possible. They have also delivered locally to me for free Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/195145-best-place-for-outdoor-timber/#findComment-1255600 Share on other sites
malumbu
Pergola! Thanks for the recommendations. The name Gibbs and Dandy always amuses me (I'm fine and dandy...). There's a thread somewhere about the names of shops on LL Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/195145-best-place-for-outdoor-timber/#findComment-1255661 Share on other sites
