Flying Ants.

Would seem East Dulwich .. South London ?? Southern Britain ?? has been hit with a swarm of Flying Ants.

Certainly East Dulwich. 1,000's of them Everywhere. could be Rain, Thunderstorms on the way.

I just read this and two came flying in through window in my office at work (camberwell)!

I just walked down to the post office collection place in High Shore Road SE15 and it was like being in a Hitchcock movie with thunderous skies and being bombarded by the flying ants.

Like I said, its spitting with Rain. Flying Ants are a sure sign there's rain on the way.

it happens once a year for 24 hrs....and then they're gone...it's a phenomonen!

The ?nuptial flight? is why ants fly. Ants mate during flight, so males and young queens both have wings.

If you look carefully at flying ants you will see that some are much larger; these are the queens.
