Did anyone see anyone pushing a big black motorbike at the Northcross Road end of Archdale Road this evening between 8.30 and 11pm?

Or maybe loading it into a van?

Maybe you have a description of someone or a vehicle?

Some magnificent example of humanity has stolen my motorcyle from outside my house on Archdale.

It was a Kawasaki Z1000sx in black. A week and a half old.

Please do get in touch if you saw anything.

Thanks.

Thanks lilolil.

Nobody followed me home I'm sure.

But I reckon it was probably spotted since the Saturday before last that I brought it home. Busy old road Archdale, what with the market etc. Probably had a few bikes to look out for and were patrolling the area looking out for when they were home.

Honestly I've felt like I've had a target painted on my back since I got it.

Guess that's the way this country makes you feel these days.

Hi Owen,

commiserations about your bike. We've been through the same thing several times, most recently in May when MrS's much loved BMW strada was taken overnight from our front garden.

They are absolutely professional. They come ready prepared. In our case cutting the wire to our security light, cutting through the chain that locked it up and lifting the bike out through our gate (taking my husbands Ridgeback cycle that was behind our locked side gate for good measure).

The particularly sickening thing is that the same thing happened to our neighbour up the road less than a week earlier. We thought we were OK because our bike was hidden behind our hedge & well locked, but as you say they 'target' certain bikes - it almost feels like nothing can stop them, if they want your bike they'll take it.

We now have a ground anchor and a stronger chain, plus several alarms but really in my heart of hearts I'm not sure it's enough. Is anything?

Another sickening thing is that the police are just completely uninterested. There's so clearly a gang working the area, and yet they seem to be doing nothing at all and these criminals know that so they're free to take what they like without any consequence to them - only us poor suckers who are left to deal with the fall out. You have my sympathies, you really do.

Have you noticed that the robberies have... have they? I think they have stopped. The police caught one man and they've stopped. I think with as much information as you can provide and as much insight as you can give, possibly the police will catch this gang as well. Your comments here are read by the good guys. It's amazing the amount of damage a few people can cause everyone else.

Hi Owen,

We had our Honda CBF 250 nicked a couple of months ago. However we did find it again at the other side of Peckham Rye, had been hot wired and joy ridden. We had forgotten to lock ours to ususal lamp post. Might be worth a look around the area just in case. However a bike as big as yours would suggest a professional job.... such a pain!

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
