  1. I had a full knee reconstruction, ACL & Popliteus tendon replaced at the Chelsea & Westminster i couldn't fault them. THe Dulwich Medical Centre who were supposed to be supplying after care however denied having me registered as a patient. I dont think we need to start any more threads on how appalling the DMC are though. Good luck and i hope you have a speedy recovery.
  2. I was going to move but i think ill stay now, especially as im single..... booo, childless.... hiss, occasional spit & a loud motorcycle rider.... come the death threats, straight & white.... ok i'll wait to be stoned.
  3. Chavs....? Were they wearing Burberry baseball caps or large hoop earrings? I'm with the big air too.
  4. Hi can anyone tell me how I can remove a post that I replied to? Stupidly I answered a post giving my telephone number as contact details when someone wanted to borrow something. The post appears in search engines on the internet. I tried to edit the post & asked the moderators to delete the post but it is still available to search. My fault I know, however does anyone know how I can delete it?
  5. Thank you, I am going to see the Management company today. I have photos of what was left in the garage space showing that the contractors took what they deemed to have vorth over what was a fire hazard. A notice was issued however i confirmed with the management company that car vehicle related paraphernalia, roof/cycle racks etc were safe.
  6. I live in a block of flats with a communal garage. The flats are privately owned, I own my own, we have a communal garage space under the flats. A couple of months ago the management company issued a letter to say that a fire inspection was carried out and the garage space was a fire hazard due to people storing things in there. A couple of weeks ago another letter was issued to say that a company had been asked to come and remove and dispose of anything that was considered a fire hazard. I use my space to store my car, Motorbike & mountain bike so there was nothing hazardous in my space. I did go as far as purchasing some garage racking where I put my car boot rack, cycle rack, paddock stands, box of hand tools, car washing bucket, plant pots & my wellington boots. I rang the Management Company to clarify the situation and was assured that it was only hazardous items like paint, car oil, jerry cans etc. I went away to work last week and came back today to find everything that wasn?t ground anchored down, i.e., car, motorbike & mountain bike had gone including racking. There was however a lot of junk, bits of wood a broken down garden chair, old mattress left there. There was wooden racking covered by sheets also left in another bay. Apparently the items taken have been disposed of, does anyone have any experience of this and is there anything I can do. The things that have been taken are quite valuable and very difficult to replace.
  7. Are you making an injury, incapacity benefit etc claim, Surveillance teams are very cunning.
  8. I have decided to replace(and not before time i might add) the wooden windows in my flat to PVC like every other flat owner has done in my 1970s built small develipment. I intend them to be identical to the others and have had quotes etc. I was made aware that i had to let the Management company know about my decision. I did this and was told that to do so i would have to pay the freeholder ?30 for administration costs & apply for a licence(which will probably cost more again) to have the windows replaced with a detailed plan. Ive never heard of the freeholder, they have never been present at management meetings. Now ?30+ further possible fees isnt a huge amount of money in the grand scheme of things. However im damn sure the freeholders have never seen the building and would have no idea who had wooden windows or PVC windows. I am quite tempted to just go ahead & replace as i am a little loath to pay into the freeholders money making scam. Has anyone any experience of this and any possible legal implications?
  9. How typical of this forum for chica to instantly point the finger of blame. I am a car driver & motorcycle rider having had licences for both well over 20 years. I am going to say one thing. IF CAR DRIVERS DID LIFE SAVER LOOKS(if you dont know what one is you should be ashamed) BEFORE TURNING LEFT THERE WOULD BE FAR FEWER MOTORCYCLE AND CYCLE ACCIDENTS ON THE ROAD. DO NOT JUST ASSUME IT IS CLEAR BECAUSE IT IS YOUR RIGHT OF WAY. Regardless of who is at fault chica the result is one dead & one traumatised for life. My feelings are with both families.
