JMT
I often get deliveries from Tesco and Ocado (boycotted Sainsbury's home delivery after two no shows out of two). Recently, I have been noticing that they are managing to avoid giving me the advertised deals by telling me one of my items in the multiple offer is not available, or not sending me my 25% off voucher for having spent more than ?80 with the the previous week, or substituting an offer item with a cheaper non offer item. Has anyone else experienced this? I would be very interested to know. ClareC
I've experienced one item of a multi buy being unavailable before, Ocado still honoured the discount price though. Their customer service is excellent, give them a call / email and I'm sure they will sort something out for you. Pickle
I use Tesco every week (used to use Ocado but don't like the fact that everything comes packaged!), and don't really have any problems with them at all. In fact I often find they substitute with more expensive things which is great - yesterday I had ordered a small pack of dishwasher tablets that were on offer (around ?3-?4ish) and they substituted a massive pack worth about ?12 - result!I'm sure both companies would be happy to refund if you give them a call. Callie
I have only recently started buying online from Sainsburys in an effort to save money, banning myself from going into shops & making those tempting compulsive buys:-$ So far, so good. All deliveries have turned up on time. Once I received a bag of courgettes & some of them were going bad so I just rang Sainsburys & they gave me a refund. The only thing I do find a bit annoying is the online trolly - you have to be careful & keep saving it along the way as it times out & items can disappear without you noticing!(6) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20058-home-delivery-rip-off/#findComment-491423 Share on other sites
binary_star
I find Tesco ok in general, they normally substitute for equal or greater value. Sainsbury's are good because they give you a tenner when they're late but we found the benefits Of that outweighed their unreliability. What's the 25% voucher all about though? Fiacre
Used to use Sainsbury's but got fed up with their unreliability. Now use Ocado, service is generally good and rarely have substitions but all deals are honoured when there is one. They are occassionally late but always ring to keep us informed. foxtailandfern
I order from Sainsbury's & do find they are normally out of the items I needed most.I don't know what I'm bothered about more - that or the way they bag the items I recieve. I've never seen anything like it. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20058-home-delivery-rip-off/#findComment-491561 Share on other sites

jollybaby
I stopped using sainsburys when I ordered a loaf of bread- my brand was out of stock and apparently the couldn't find a replacement! My eggs were broken too which the delivery man said - 'happens all the time'. Great.
