Our daughter has THIS.

It's good, because you can change it as they grow, removing the harness, then the parent handle thing, once they can pedal for themselves.

Only downside, is rubbish plastic wheels, but I think that is common with most trikes.

We have this:

scuttlebug

My 22-month-old LOVES it and zips around on it at breakneck speed (you may not think that's a good thing). It isn't really safe to use as a mode of transport the way the smart trike can be, but he rides it in the house and in the park and the really fantastic thing is that it folds up small enough to stash under the buggy.

I am currently contemplating buying this for Christmas as a less-plasticky alternative to the Smart trike:

italtrike

I think it's lovely, and it has rubber rather than plastic wheels. The downside is that it doesn't have a safety strap but you might be able to get one separately.

Slightly different but we have had this for our 2.5 yr old - he got it for his first birthday. It starts as a trike then turns into a 2 wheeler balance bike. Seems to have gone down well...not as easy as ones with a push handle when he decides to abandon it though!
We have to smart trike zoo, we spent many hours at the park with this when little one was around that age, the only downpoint was that you were unable (to the best of our knowledge) lock her handles so as you would push the parent handle she was wiggle her handbar and we'd be all over the places, sure it looked very funny to onlookers but was a nightmare for us. A friend has the little trike 3 in 1 and the support bar around the seat locks the handle bar in place so this can not happen. I would recommend looking out for that when looking around, Hope to help x

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
