Does this thing still exist? Actually I know it does, because I've seen it online, but only in a pack of 12 large bottles. I don't really want that many. But I do want some.

Anyone know where I might lay hands on the old mad dog?

I doubt you'd get it in the lovely Barry's these days .... its all marmite X0, if you please, and posh micro-brewery bottles.

I've not seen it in years. Presume the big supermarkets dont sell it.

Are there any old school off licences locally? Thinkvthey would be the most likely stockist.

Yes, it's for a little celebration in honour of uni days. Mostly I drank orange, with the occasional foray into strawberry territory.

I think Two Dogs and Hooch were both alcoholic lemonade. Can't remember which was first..... Do remember drinking far too much of both!!

Hooch had a cartoon lemon on it originally which the manufacturers were made to change since it was deemed to encourage children to drink it.

20/20 we used to drink whilst getting ready to go out! Don't remember liking it even then!

Just googled it......

Both introduced to UK in 1995, Hooch first manufactured that year. Two Dogs was first manufactured 2 years previously in Australia.

Hooch no longer manufactured, Two Dogs is...... I want to find some now!!!

Now what was in a Blastaway? It was Castaway (alcoholic Lilt) and summat else.

And what was the difference between blue and red Thunderbird, *Bob*? I remember neither as tasting of much.

The difference between Blue / Red thunderbird was about 4% abv if my blurry memory serves me right. Red was the pivo of choice for me, mid 90's, drank out a coffee cup.

Help-Ma will surely agree that it was a very "Stirling" early 90's thing to do. Thunderbird was ?2.99 a bottle at that time. A total bargain.

Blast away was castaway and cider ? White lightning - tasted like lilt but lethal

Two dogs - much nicer than hooch - less sugary and fizzy
