Opening the Heart: 3 hours of Blissful Yin yoga and Gong Bath at Zen Yoga Camberwell

Recommended Posts

?Opening the Heart?- A 3 hour Yin Yoga and Sound Immersion workshop with Sarah Fretwell and Alicia Davies.

Saturday 15 September, 5-8pm, ?45 at Zen Yoga Camberwell.

The perfect way to relax and recharge is with this special combination of slow, blissful Yin yoga and a live sound bath with Gongs and other healing instruments. In this 3 hour session, we will be diving deeply into the heart chakra and its physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects.

Sarah?s Yin poses are designed to calm the nervous system, increase flexibility, hydrate the fascia, lengthen muscles and increase the circulation, while Alicia?s sound immersion and guided meditation will take you on an inner journey to soothe the soul and deepen your hearts? connection to the power of Universal Love.

Why yin yoga?

Yin yoga is a beautiful healing practice giving us a break from our daily busy lifestyle. Poses are held for a longer period of time, and in this stillness, energy (chi) can more freely travel in the meridian lines. In this state, we gain greater balance in all aspects of our being, both physical, emotional and spiritual.

Why gong bath / sound immersion?

In a gong bath the vibrating tones of the gong break through the mental and physical blocks of mind, body and spirit to promote a deep sense of well-being, relaxation and inner peace. The sound of the gong has a profound affect on people, and may people enjoy the experience of floating timelessly in space, or in an ocean. Some have inspiring visions or see colours.

This workshop is open to all levels. Mats and props provided, as well as healthy treats.

Come with an open mind and an open heart!

    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
    • There’s a couple of Gov petitions going on in relation to fireworks at the moment but this one is for banning them entirely except organised displays if anyone wants to sign. This is the only sensible way forward in my view. No one should be able to let them off in gardens or anywhere like that, it’s crazy. I am surprised some of you have said it hasn’t been as bad this year. I live near DKH Saino and it’s been absolutely terrible my way for days. This petition gained about 20,000 just in the last day or so so clearly the appetite is there! https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/732559
    • I'd have thought they could use some of  their income from hiring out a large part of Brockwell Park in the summer (therefore, as I understand it, preventing local residents from using much of it) to put on a firework display there  in the autumn which might somewhat make up to those residents for the previous loss of use of the park. And also generate goodwill.
