I've recently thinking how much fun it would be to host a "Gaming Night" at a pub on LL one night in the week.

At first I thought it would be good to basically set up a couple of Wii's and maybe a couple of XBOX's and maybe do some informal (and perhaps more serious) tournaments, could involved all types of games and players at all levels.

Basically I really enjoy socialising and gaming rather than just sitting at home and playing over the internet. So if we had an internet connection people could bring their laptops etc. and there could be LAN games going on.

All the while the pub would be doing well from the drinks and food being served, maybe even charge a cover for entry.

What do you think? Would anyone be interested?

Totally agree, even throw a fiver in each with Winner takes all. (Thinking Wii bowling)

If its geek friendly I'm sure a couple of people will bring a laptop along to play - it can be quite chilled out having a beer playing a few games. Even better when doing it with a few friends.

Wonder what the most appropriate pub would be to do it at?

    • Thanks Sue.  No the car just drove on.  We don't know if they noticed.  We were driving behind.  We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞
    • Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.
    • That was very kind of you to take the cat to the vet. Did the car not stop?
