(Admin. I know that there is already a thread on this subject, but I feel that (being such an important issue) people should be able to clearly find how they go about signing this petittion.....therefore would apprecite if we can keep this as its own thread

if anybody is doing their own petition and doesn't know where to send it, drop it in at one of the above shops and we'll pick up and send to southwark.

If you want to arrange your own, then feel free to copy one of the blank sheets at any of the above places

Dear Swagstar

CPZ = Controlled Parking Zone! Check out the other threads in this general section of the Forum. No surprise you don't know, unless you live inside the exact roads your only way of knowing is tatty bits of paper hanging upside down from a lamp post near Goose Green. You need to find out about it because it will have a huge impact on all in the area.

Can you please link to the relevant forum threads, as clearly they may once have been at the top of the page but won't stay there for long?

Also, would an internet petition not be quicker and easier for people to sign?

xxxxxx

ETA: The only CPZ I am aware of that's been raised on this forum is the one affecting parking in the ED Station area - are we now talking about more than that one? Are residents outside the affected zone eligible to object?

Please note - as well as signing the petitions, don't forget to fill in the Southwark Consultation here (click on "We invite you to submit your comments online now").

PLEASE NOTE

So that the CPZ is effectively opposed:

- Ensure you answer NO to Question 5

- DO NOT PUT ANY ANSWER against the 'trick question' - Question 11.

    • He did mention it's share of freehold, I’d be very cautious with that. It can turn into a nightmare if relationships with neighbours break down. My brother had a share of freehold in a flat in West Hampstead, and when he needed to sell, the neighbour refused to sign the transfer of the freehold. What followed was over two years of legal battles, spiralling costs and constant stress. He lost several potential buyers, and the whole sale fell through just as he got a job offer in another city. It was a complete disaster. The neighbour was stubborn and uncooperative, doing everything they could to delay the process. It ended in legal deadlock, and there was very little anyone could do without their cooperation. At that point, the TA6 form becomes the least of your worries; it’s the TR1 form that matters. Without the other freeholder’s signature on that, you’re stuck. After seeing what my brother went through, I’d never touch a share of freehold again. When things go wrong, they can go really wrong. If you have a share of freehold, you need a respectful and reasonable relationship with the others involved; otherwise, it can be costly, stressful and exhausting. Sounds like these neighbours can’t be reasoned with. There’s really no coming back from something like this unless they genuinely apologise and replace the trees and plants they ruined. One small consolation is that people who behave like this are usually miserable behind closed doors. If they were truly happy, they’d just get on with their lives instead of trying to make other people’s lives difficult. And the irony is, they’re being incredibly short-sighted. This kind of behaviour almost always backfires.
