Extended opening hours on Lordship Lane?

Hi All

In previous years, shops on the Lane have had extended opening hours leading up to xmas and I wonder if anyone knows if there is a plan to do the same this year, and if so, on what date(s) it's likely to happen?

I'm told today by the South Southwark Business Association (SSBA who are mostly Lordship Lane traders) that they have no plans for such late opening this year.

They said "We have tried this for a number of years and unfortunately there is not the night time footfall to warrant it. In fact over the years fewer shops stayed open and there ceased to be a big enough draw. I think shops are doing their own thing this year in terms of extended opening hours and mulled wine etc etc."
