Waddya mean a negative? That sounds like it could *be* the England side...

The Irish team is also made up of a handful of South Africans, Kiwis and Australinas with a brace of poms thrown in for good measure.

South Africa has also got in on the act. Chronically unable to grow their own spin bowlers they have stolen one from Pakistan.

Eek, good show from the dutch boy from port elizabeth.

So, almost 300 to chase. Who reckons KP trys to smack it around and is out for two?

Then we panic and play defensively for the next fifteen overs, then look like we might get back into it before a quick collapse?

And you missed a cracker - moving from easy confidence of an historic win while Strauss & Bell were batting to despair as we lost quick wickets during the Power Play (why do England always, always fall apart during a power play) to that most rare of results - a tie. Good stuff and infinitely better than my son's preference for the Carling Cup Final game.

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
