So while everyone else is winding down to christmas and the school aged kids are loving the relaxing holidays, sadly the pre-schoolers still have energy and need entertaining and everything is closed down for christmas..argh..

I wondered whether anyone knew what is on or still running next week?

I can start with one thing I have found this - a show by theatrebugs on tuesday afternoon at Goose Green. No idea what it will be like but I've signed up to go...

Nothing on at the Horniman (no Busy Bees).

I think Ruby Rhymes is on on Monday with Christmas Party afterwards.

Anything else? Hoping Crystal Palace 1 oclock club open and maybe Toddler World...

Hummy Mummies running for final week this sidw of Christmas.

Christchurch Barry Rd 10-11am on Monday, very fun and 4,3,2,1 and zero year olds in attendance (we all bring a toy, there's a garage, duplo, kitchen, it seems to work even with lots of very energetic boys!).

The Albany Theatre is showing "The Magicinas Daughter" - which may be of interest. There is a swimming pool (Deptford) about 3 minutes walk from the theatre so you could do both. (The pool is lovely and warm with a large shallow area for toddlers / children)

i am thinking of trying peckham pulse softplay for the first time as i have heard that it has improved a lot and it clean now!

does anyone know - do you just turn up or do you have to book in advance? also anyone know the cost - i've had a look at the website but can't see how much it costs.

i wonder if bea's baby bop is on next week? i will check her website...

    • Ha! After I posted this, I thought of lots more examples. Screwfix and the hardware store? Mrs Robinson and Jumping Bean? Chemists, plant shops, hairdressers...  the list goes on... it's good to have healthy competition  Ooooh! Two cheese shops
    • You've got a point.  Thinking Leyland and Screwfix too but this felt different.
    • Moving into a new place and need both a wardrobe and a chest of drawers, ideally collection Friday. Thanks!
    • Lordship Lane has two dry cleaners, three pizza places and an Italian selling pizza, two burger places, three bakeries, two hardware (ish, I'm thinking AJ Farmer here), God knows how many coffee and charity shops, two Italians, three nail salons, five wine shops... Where was the abject outrage when Dynamic Vines opened up literally next door to Cave de Bruno? But I don't see his customers decamped next door - no, those stalwarts are still out in force every night.  In Roman times all businesses were clustered by product. It's what kept prices down. Same in any market you go to abroad, they're all selling the same things next to each other.  Why is everyone being so hard on this new place? It's called healthy competition - you can't curtail the expansion of your business on the basis you that might hurt someone else's.
