Country homes furniture shop gone bust

Looking to find others who have lost money, due to country homes going bust! Paid in full for made to measure goods and waited over 8 weeks to find the shop has been vacated and gone bust with no forwarding details...devastated!!!

If you paid by credit card, you should be able to reclaim the money from the card provider.

Even if you have paid by debit card you are covered as it is a non delivered service. Phone your bank and they will refund your money.

I've just got a refund through my bank (debit card) - I paid in full in April and had numerous reassurances over the last few months.

I?ve sent a claim form for goods not received to my credit card company, which covers the majority of the cost( still investigating)Will probably be out of pocket on some cash given and 16 handles I bought separately and left in the shop to be put on .

Hi there

we are in the same boat. We are currently going through the bank to get the money back. I am not sure what you were all told but the owner has not had a stroke and he has done a runner with at least ?20k. Good luck to everyone and I hope you get your money back. Please keep updated of anything new relating to this.

I have just driven past these premises and it looks like Country Homes is now a shop that sells very similar items and is now called Timeless - maybe just a coincidence but thought it was worth mentioning....
