But surely these were only posted because it was a particularly weird situation? And local.

It's not like anyone was posting pictures of injuries.

It was posting the car number plate which worried me slightly, though I'm not sure why.

Because it had crashed after fitting into an extremely tight space, but mainly surely because it had crashed on the pavement outside a local school. And could have happened when there were children/other people standing there.

I can't understand who you don't get it!

I imagine the person who took the photos intended to post them on here when s/he took them. This is a local forum and I would have thought it was exactly the kind of thing which is of interest to local people/parents, who would otherwise probably never have known about it.

And who can now push for safety measures near the school which evidently had already been asked for.

It would have been ghoulish if somebody had been killed or badly hurt, yes.

As they weren't, then I can't see the problem.

Thank goodness I don't have the energy to entertain certain arguments on the forum.

I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion & it's quite clear we all have different mindsets.

The title clearly accident on lordship lane, if you find an accident ghoulish, it might be wise not to click on the thread! Simple.....

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
