Probably Horizon have got in on the act as they know a CPZ will come into effect in the area? Looking at the strange website it's charging ?60 a month for people to use East Dulwich train station.

Or could the new Argos have a say in the parking situation? Who knows?

what is being discussed is called a Parking Charge Notice because it is issued by a private company on private land. It is therefore a civil claim rather than a fine. If it is correctly issued by a company entitled to get your details from the DVLA and the notices are correctly displayed etc then you can be taken to court for debt and bailiffs can call to collect it.

Not weekends though - that's when we 9to5ers do our shopping :)

If my childhood experiences of waiting for goods in Argos are anything to go by, more people might be subject to fines once Argos opens in Sainsbury's -though I'm hopeful that they're much quicker these days. Think I lost much of my teenage years waiting for 'Elizabeth Duke' jewellery!

    • My memory, admittedly not very reliable these days, places the shop on the block on the left hand side just before Burgess Park going towards Camberwell. Have also found a reference to Franklins Antiques being located at 157 Camberwell Road which is on that block. This is a screen shot obtained from Google maps of that address which accords with my memory except the entrance door was on the right hand side, where the grey door is, rather than in the centre.
