I have been considering for some time, starting up a group for migraine sufferer's.

If anyone knows if a discussion group already exists in East Dulwich please let me know. I feel, and would like to think many people could benefit from such a group.

Let me know what you think and any ideas.

Thanks EDF

Hey, I'd def be up for this, any tips and tricks for managing symptoms etc are always greatly appreciated. I'm currently seeing a specialist at City of London Migraine Clinic and am getting some help there but a touch of sympathy from other people in a similar position is also always appreciated!

I can hopefully say this without being accused of having a vested interest, as I don't sell them any more, but a magnotherapy wristband worked for me - I originally got it to sort my arthritic aches and pains (which it did) and it sorted my migraines as well.

I hadn't realised it had until I suddenly became aware that I hadn't had a migraine for months (now years - apart from very very very rarely).

You need a strong one though, not a cheap wishy-washy one.

One of my customers (I started selling them after I had had such good results) had had severe migraines since she was a child, and after she started wearing a wristband, she hardly had any, just the occasional one when she was extremely stressed.

ETA: I gave a three month money-back unconditional guarantee, and only had two or three back the whole time I sold them - and of those, clearly one had never actually been worn ....

    • You can get a card at the till, though, to get the discount. You don't have to carry it with you (or load it onto your phone), you can just get a different card each time. Not sure what happens if they notice 🤣
    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
