Hi

I wonder if anyone can help??

Part way through there was a song with the Singer singing about "the devil rising" (I managed to put on the subtitles at this point).

However when I put these words in to Itunes today I couldn't find this song!

I have also tried looking at last night's episode again but can't remember when the song is featured except i know it's not at the beginning.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Some version of this I reckon!

From what I saw, this would be impossible. Holmes eyes were fixed on Sherlock the whole time, the body was in motion as it fell with arms and legs flailing, and the body they put on the gurney was definitely Sherlock, not Moriarty.

My best guess would be that Sherlock took a calculated risk. His flailing limbs and overcoat would have slowed his descent and he landed in a manner as to do the least damage possible. The next scenes were months later, after a recovery period.

I was disappointed his head popped up in the final scene, would have preferred him to be dead.

Sherlock jumped, and landed in the van filled with rubbish bags - note that Watson has to go around a small building in front to reach him and crucially would not have seen the last few feet of the fall. Holmes nips out of the van and lies on the pavement where he and is surrounded by Molly and her co-conspirators and covered with fake blood. The van drives off. Meanwhile, Watson is knocked over to buy time and to disorient him. Holmes slows his pulse down to nothing to trick Watson who is only allowed to check his pulse very quickly before being hurried away.

Pop Psychologist on PM last night talking about mis-direction distraction etc. and how it related to the Sherlock Episode.

Normally I would just assume the BBC wouldn't kill off a successful series But with DR WHO at half a series a year, Spooks and Hustle cancelled I am wondering.

Um, didn't Conan Doyle kill off the character and then had to 'revive' him to appease the Victorian chattering classes who were clamouring for more drug addicted, violin playing sleuths? I would wiki it, but that's down for protests today... What would Holmes do? A three pipe problem probably.

So far as I know the choice to run a third series is not being made by the BBC, who have made budget available.

The choice is being made by Cumberbatch and Freeman who currently do not have sufficent time available simultaneously to make the next series.

Spooks was in desperate danger of jumping the shark, with views dropping from 8m to 4.5m. The producers probably decided they needed some new characters and ideas to play with - and basically a new programme!

Yep, he "died" falling down the waterfall with Prf M, but then made a miraculous comeback 2 years later.

Love the fact he was a coke feind.

I think Spooks probably jumped the shark sometime around series 2 or three, whenever it was that a busy section D became 4 people saving the world and doing allll the jobs ;)

I do miss it, but it had become VERY silly.

As far as I know everyone is committed to a third series in principal, but balls ain't rolling yet.

As for wikipedia, it's not down so much as very clumsily hidden, a bit of manipulation with chrome or ie dev tools (ctrl+shift+i or F12 respectively) or firebug in firefox and you can see it in all its glory.

*edited for section being a letter out*

What's the trick with Chrome please. - I didn't realise how much I use it!

hit ctrl+shift+i you'll get this thing appear at the bottom with all the html content.

you'll see the usual stuff html, head, body etc.

the third div down under body is called content &ltdiv id="content" ...

click on it and look at the thing on the right.

At the top it has a thing called styles under which is display: none

double click the 'none' so it is highlighted and either type 'block' or cycle through your options with the up and down cursor keys.

then press return.

ta da.

do the same with the mw-head div to bring up the search.

It's a bit of a pain admittedly....

He’s immediately available and looking for local handyman work — from snagging and DIY jobs to gardening or general fixing-up. He’s capable, practical, and reliable, with plenty of hands-on experience restoring and maintaining, including with heritage/listed properties. If you have a to-do list you never quite get to, or need help with those annoying finishing touches, he’d be happy to help. Please drop him a message if you’d like to chat or check availability. 07968345884
    • Unfortunately Nissan was a disaster of a company when it created your car and still is, and most recently created another combined disaster alliance with Renault. Be aware, the trade value on your car is really low as no one wants to do the work & it's often only when it reaches near scrap value that someone (else) is willing to invest (their money) to try and fix. So if you're willing to front the money and fix your car that (you know) then that is most likely your best option (also understanding that it is outrageous that you should have to replace a CVT gearbox after 50K). If that isn't appealing consider a new Skoda Fabia 1.0 (Auto) on finance if you can't afford cash, it will last 20yrs.... (and avoid cars from the Stellantis group)
    • If you are referring to me, I was using my mobile. Just quoting the post I was replying to would have made no sense without showing my original post as well. I wouldn't have been able to do that on a "real PC" either, assuming I carried one around with me everywhere. It's nothing to do with what I'm using, it's the way the forum is set up to quote posts. I did insert a screenshot showing the keyboard by mistake.
