Cold sore cures...?

Help, intruding cold sore alert...need it gone! Anyone got a remedy/cure?

Zoviax works brilliantly but get it quick, the earlier applied the better

I use witch hazel or witch doctor as a gel. stings like hell but works a charm (pun intended!)

Get other brands of the same cream for less money - as long as it contains acyclovir it will work. Most pharmacies will sell an own-brand version.

Farmers (next to locksmith on LL) sells a cheaper version of Zovirax in little tubes near the till.

Have also used this kind of device electronic cold sore zapper with success - worth bearing in mind for the long run.

Take a massive dose of Zinc Gluconate.

My other half kills 'em in their tracks with that.

Aclovir - Zovirax - the only real cure.

But dont get a Cold Sore in Canada its not licensed there!

I was recommended an amino acid, L-Lysine (from baldwins or holland and barrett) and take mega doses when I feel one coming. Also particularly good is Blistex cream, but it must be the healing one in the metal tube, applied liberally, even through the night, can stop one developing...
