I'm organising a stag do for about 30 blokes in the London area (or not too far outside) and need inspiration - I'm thinking something that doesn't initially involve heavy drinking (as I'll be out cold by about 7 at night) but could go that way in the early evening time. Also let me know if you've been on a decent one recently and what you did...help most gratefully received!

I hired a boat on the Thames for my brother. That was about 30 people.

Got on at Kingston, pottered down to a nice pub near Teddington then back up to Putney.

There were beers on the boat but it limits the heavy drinking until you get off.

Had a good meal in Putney (Emile's) then those who wanted to go clubbing or watch naked ladies could do so, those who didn't/couldn't were well placed for a taxi or train home.

Husband did karting and laser quest somewhere in North London (but not very far North - think Camden or that way) which also limited the initial drinking, then ended up in a pub until closing time (that dates it!!). Easy for people to get to, to join in various bits as they wish, and to get home from when they want.

    • It was a bit of a jump by me from Cyclemonkey seeing a similar presence at London Bridge. Larnaca wouldn't have brought a huge amount of fans, but it was the first time Palace have hosted a competitive European tie. There's the issue of Northern Cyprus and heightened media interest around footy because of the Villa Maccabi game at the moment, so that may have had a bearing on the scale of the operation. It does seem unlikely if it was at four o'clock, though.
