Our local police team have advised that robberies have increased over the past few weeks, mainly from those sitting outside at local pubs and cafes. Purses, mobiles and handbags are the targets. Also a trend of a group of (mainly) boys 'waiting' at bus stops who then grab phones and bags from those boarding buses. Advice is as usual - do not use your phone out in the street if possible (moped thieves) wear handbags across body underneath clothing.

Even when based at Camberwell, police were frequently seen walking around various areas of East Dulwich and Dulwich.

With the changes in the ward boundaries i.e. from being East Dulwich Ward and now split into Goose Green and Dulwich Hill, there were changes in the police personnel covering the area. Dulwich Hill police now cover Dawson Heights and Forest Hill Road, so appear to be less visible in the Lordship Lane area - the main shopping area from Whately Road down to Goose Green now being covered by Goose Green SNT.

    • Another happy customer. Would recommend Lucasz. Good quality work and reasonable rate

    • Walking around, it looks to me as if weedkiller has been used, as some weeds have been left in situ but are dead. However, most of the weeds which have been (apparently)  killed in this way are hardly likely to lift pavements, being things like Shepherd's Purse. They might seed around, but I'm not sure what harm that does. I would like to know exactly what is the remit of the council workers who are tasked with dealing with weeds in pavements (and in tree pits?). Things like dandelions which have taproots (but are hard to remove in one piece)  have been left in the pavement,  whereas things like Toadflax (which don't, and are easy to just pull out) have been removed.
    • Yet another recommendation for Casper the  handyman.   He recently completed some odd jobs around our house including installing curtain rails and hanging pictures.  He offered practical solutions to the issues that arose, was efficient and communicative.  Very reasonable rates. We’ll be using his services again and have recommended to family & friends.
