Hello all,


Got a penalty charge notice in post from Parking Eye claiming that I'd stayed in the car park overnight. They sent photographic "evidence" with the predictable wordy threatening letter.


Basically they took a picture when I entered on one day but failed to take one on my departure and instead took a picture when I left the car park on a separate visit the following day.


I appealed on that basis and got the charge cancelled. It did cause me some stress!


So, if anyone else gets the same kind of letter, don't panic but appeal! Their "evidence" is a load of rubbish!

      Please name the agent and the company.  So sorry this happened to you. You could also refuse to pay the commission.

      It's unprofessional, and possibly illegal.  There are procedures to complain.

      Occasionally when this happens, the estate agent is complicit. Had this happen to our neighbour and we later found that the house was bought by the sister of the estate agent at the reduced price. The agent is in an advantageous position as he/she is aware of the seller's circumstances and occasionally one will go rogue to do a favour for a relative/friend.

      Hello, I have a new boxed (unwanted gift) Tefal Secure 5 that you could have.  The model is P2500731 and is a few years old, just been sitting in a cupboard, but it hasn’t even been unpacked.  I think a new version is about £70 so you can have it for £25?  If interested, please let me know and I can drop off to you if you like as we are on Brixton Hill but pass through ED most days.  Best wishes, Alison
