hi

both my husband and i are avid cyclists and now its getting warmer (fingers crossed!) we'd like to get a bike seat to fix onto one or both of our bikes so we take our little daughter out on the bike. about to start researching this, so thought i'd see if any of you guys had any personal reccomendations...

cheers!

We used the Hamax (one which didn't recline) from that age which our daughter loved. Cue many shouts of "Go faster, Mummy, go faster Mummy" as I tried to cycle up Overhill Road! We're selling ours with two fitting things if you're interested! PM me for more details.

Our child bike seat was one of the best things Ive ever bought, I was nervous before trying it then within days it felt the most normal way of getting around in the world. It also really helps when you are in a hurry to get somewhere! I probably didnt shop around that much but would strongly recommend the copilot one we have, i think this is it: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/copilot/taxi-child-seat-ec009149.

My older son is now getting a bit big for it, although i still took him out on it the other week although he has just turned four. The baby is only seven months and i cant wait until he is a nearer one and I can take him out when son one is not there, am really missing the cycling!

    • Pretentious status vehicles.ย  Last year I was trying to drive down my own street but, being in a little, inferior car, was expected to make way for a stream of SUVs / Chelsea tractors as they barged along beside me. After what felt like an age, I saw a window of opportunity, but was beaten to it by yet another tank. By this stage I was irate (I hate the things) and having a full on shouting match with myself behind the wheel.ย  A Tesla in the oncoming queue pulled in, flashed and courteously allowed me to take my moment. The Tesla's windows were tinted, but not so much that I wasn't able to make out the driver, as I passed him. I'd recognise that mega-watt smile anywhere. It was Peter Crouch, laughing and giving me the thumbs up, clearly entertained by my tantrum.ย
    • I recently had a utility room built, next to the kitchen. Dean Richards and his team carried out the works, they did a fantastic job. Thorough, with attention to every detail.ย  If you are considering an extension, refurbishment or renovation, Dean comes highly recommended.ย  Dean Richardsย  07888 651798 ย
    • Thanks to all for the comments and advice.ย  I have now reported the incident to the police.
