I bought a chameleon off the forum and it's fab but the bits on the side that allow you to fold it up easily to then take it in the car etc seem to get stuck and it takes both of us and about half an hour to get it to work.. I've had a friend who has one try to do it in case I wasn't doing it right and it definitely gets stuck and locks, today it took 45 mins and me a couple of swear words!! As I got it second hand I can't go back to the retailer so any clues as to where I could go to get someone to look at it? Or am I better off seeing if anyone has a chassi they aren't using?

Thanks!

As above, I dropped mine off at Peppermint in Clapham with the same problem, it was away for a couple of weeks and cost ?82 to be fixed. Its quite a common problem, now works perfectly. However, the only thing I would say is that I didn't actually get my chassis back as I noted the serial number before it went and it was different on return. I think this may have been more the shops fault though as I left it there a couple of weeks longer as I was away..
My bugaboo bee has been with Buggypitstop for the past 6 weeks, and still no sign of the part that I was told was in stock when arranging repair. The service I received has been appalling and I'm starting to worry that my buggy will never be repaired. I will never use them again but then again I couldn't find anywhere else that provides a similar service. Again, use with caution...
Etta166, what number did you have for contacting them? We tried but could never find a number that got us through to an actual person at Bugaboo. Husband and I eventually ended up sourcing spare parts from Buggy Pitstop, but their customer service is awful!

If you are using a shop which doesn't give an itemised receipt, or doesn't give a receipt at all, just be aware that it might be a good idea to check that you are not paying over the odds (and if using cash, that you are given the right change for what you handed over). When staff are busy they might make mistakes.
    • As I had a moan on here about the truly abysmal Christmas meal we had at The Cherry Tree last year, I am redressing the balance by saying we had a really excellent Christmas meal at Franklins last night. Every course was absolutely delicious and  really well cooked. The staff were lovely despite being exhausted and run off their feet. In particular, my sea bass was a large portion and cooked to perfection, in stark contrast to the small dried up portion The Cherry Tree provided, from which I was barely able to scrape a teaspoonful of flesh (that is not an exaggeration). And our Franklins meal cost less than half what we paid at The Cherry Tree (to be fair, that was on Christmas Day so the Cherry Tree costs would have been higher, but that doesn't excuse the appalling quality meal). Thank you again to Franklins for restoring our faith in eating out at Christmas!
