Another recommendation for Dave the cookerman. Found his name on the forum earlier this week after my mother's oven died and he has just finished replacing the broken part today. She is delighted. He even got parts working on the cooker that hadn't worked for years!

Another recommendation for Dave.

He came to our house Friday evening to install a Gas Cooker, it was in a tricky spot and he had to go over and above the normal call of duty to get us up and running.

Really appreciated all the help and info, brilliant service, would HIGHLY recommend.

Here's another recommendation for Dave Nichols - the Cooker Man. He was incredibly efficient, responding to correspondence immediately (on a weekend) and had the whole thing (an old cooker) fixed in a matter of a few days. The best by far. His number is 07506 104882 - and thanks to all who recommended him on this forum before.

Wanted to add another recommendation as it can be difficult to find reliable trades people.

I called him this morning and he managed to find time to come over this evening, he was very helpful and didn't mind my 3 year old supervising him to make sure he was doing his job properly.

Will definitely be holding onto his number for future use.

I would like to add ANOTHER recommendation for Dave. He's talented at what he does and eager to solve any oven problem with a smile making the whole thing a stress free experience. Knowledgable, reasonably priced, clean, quick and reliable. He's the best!

    • It was normal cyclists, in rush hour traffic, in the dark, in the rain. Just really want people to realise it’s that time of year even more careful and to get kitted out.
    • The other consideration is that users of Lime bikes and similar, plus younger pedal cyclists, probably don't view themselves as 'cyclists' as such and so don't get kitted out or even consider that they need to. I also agree that earlier nights are another factor for the casual or hire bike user more used to cycling in the summer. I don't think I have ever seen a hire bike or scooter user wearing a helmet or reflective gear- presumably that is because the bike is just viewed as a transport tool for short term use and users do not want to be encumbered by any of the safety gear? Before anyone jumps on me for anecdotal evidence and speculation, this is just what I have seen round here, there may be hordes of similar users elsewhere that are kitted out.
    • Well apolitical if that is an OK word for you.  Sorry if my choice of words was incorrect.  But on my original point if it wasn't for the Telegraph dragging this up, and yes they do have an agenda, an no they are not apolitical/impartial whatever, we;d be none the wiser. But as it made no difference to Trump's election campaign that why would he have a case in the American courts? Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the programme
