I've just read in today's Guardian that you can also get craft bacon with none of those carcinogenic nitrites added. Does anyone know if WR, F&H or the new place in DV sell craft bacon?

Bog butter, Bob. that?s what you need. Makes craft butter look like test-tube margarine.

Nice and waxy after hundreds or thousands of years it can also help you with your front door problem with waterproofing and wood preservation qualities.

I found some! I read about the ?Festival of rural traditions? in Saint-Fraimbualt, Normandy, and popped over to it on Thursday of this week and found butter being traditionally crafted with wooden churns full of milk/cream.

Funnily enough Seabag, Dick Pappenheim took part in the 1952 Oslo Olympic Games and he was as Dutch as a windmill. Sometimes miracles do occur in adverse conditions.
