cashewnut
Are there any good jumble sales or places to get second hand baby clothes etc in East Dulwich? (Other than the forum itself of course!) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/22228-jumble-sales-and-second-hand-baby-stuff/ Share on other sites
Monkey
NCT Sales at the St Faith's centre in Dulwich Village this weekend. A firm favourite of mine. Mrs TP
There is an annual car boot sale coming up at St John's and St Clement's school on 24th March, which is usually great for 2nd clothes for babies upwards. heber jumble queen
As my moniker would suggest, this is something of a specialist subject.. I always check the South London Press on a Friday for jumble notices locally, and people do advertise them in the SE22 magazine. I'm not aware of any dates coming up but I'd have thought Goodrich School would be having a jumble sometime soon (I'm strictly jumble so can't tell you about car boots) - and the church on Rosendale Rd in Dulwich has had some great jumbles over the years. There's also a twins club sale coming up at St Faiths within the next few weeks I believe - that's usually awash with baby stuff too. cathh
There's mum2mum market over in Balham next weekend (10th March). If it's not too far it is well worth the trip. The stuff is amazing - great condition, good brands and bargain prices and no priority entry for members so everyone has the same chance of getting the best bargains.....Just turn up early and queue. www.mum2mummarket.co.ukBoot sales can be a bit hit or miss- stuff always seems a bit grubbier to me and I have found some things shockingly overpriced at the NCT sales I have been to.... minder
Crescent - the NCT sale at St Faith's (Red Post Hill, North Dulwich, not Dulwich Village) is on from 11am-1pm this Saturday 3rd. They have a poster outside which I pass most days.Every time the NCT has a sale here the queue goes back for miles, so if you are at back of queue it might take some time to get in! They can only let so many in.Saying that, I agree with cathh about overpricing, but I think the entrance fee is a bit steep too. cashewnut
Wow, sounds like it's all going on this weekend (when, unfortunately, we're away!). I'll keep my eyes open in the local press in future... Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
