My goddaughter is 4 next week and I want to treat her to a fun morning/day out.

She can be a bit of a handful and prone to running off so I don't really want to go too far as we'll be on public transport. Something like Gambados would probably be ideal for her as she loves to climb and jump, but she's been before so I thought I'd try to come up with something else for a change.

I'd be grateful for any tips and ideas, especially those that may suit my 20-month-old daughter as well.

Thanks

Sandra

When you're at the Tate make sure you also go to the children's play area on the 5th floor - there is a musical slide and space for them to potter around. Maybe you could also do a little boat trip along the river on the Thames clipper. My 4 year old loved that
Thank you Pripolla! Forgot to add, you can also go to the Queens House next door to see the beautiful paintings and of course, the Observatory. There is also a children's playground in the park as well as plenty of child-friendly restaurants nearby such as Pizza Express, Cafe Rouge, GBK, etc etc.

Another vote for Battersea Zoo: great with animals and differents playground, not too busy.if it's not raining it's nicer. the park is great and change a bit of Dulwich.

Also, if you can drive, ( don't know how to go by transports)I can hugely recommend National History Museum,South Kens. It's not in the convention charge area from Dulwich.Easy to park close to the museum but quite expensive (8?/2hours).free entrance in the museum.

Especially with the Dinausore room, some of them are "animated" so look like reals! . You can bring a pic nic, there is a special room dedicated. You ask at the entry desk for "little explorator" kit, (binocular, explorator hat, and a bag containing clues to find the "mysterious" animal )it's free and children are keen on it!

    • Hello there... I have gotten to know, like and trust Crystal Mendes through a local group meet. up, and can vouch for her being very knowledgable, trained and qualified, however I have not used her company.   Would suggest getting in touch via instagram for a first point conversation.   https://www.instagram.com/livingenergynutrition/?hl=en-gb
