In our area, I would tentatively suggest Charter North or The Elmgreen School, but a good starting point is to check the SEND information/offer on the school website. If nothing helpful to be found, then there's a bit of a clue there. In my experience, schools with a lot of experience of supporting children with a range of needs, usually have a comprehensive section on how they go about this.

If your child has just had an ADHD diagnosis, I would hope that his/her current school would be keen to get them the right support and work closely with you whist they do this, sorry if this isn't happening, sounds tough.

My daughter was diagnosed in year 8 and her heads of year have been hugely supportive. She is at Kingsdale, and two years on and stable on meds, she is achieving well and having support and booster sessions to plug the gaps in her learning lost before she was diagnosed/appropriately medicated.
thanks, it's tough for all parents with special needs, schools just don't get funding and league tables means that these kids needs are compromised. I wonder if Corbyn has got it right in terms of creating good academic schools with a lot more compassion.

Get a set of dumbbells and maybe a resistance band, find a HIIT channel you like on youtube and workout in your room, eat clean and go out every day. £115/mo is ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to be about £20 to £30 and most people give up come February anyway.
    • Point taken..I go 3-4 times a week and have done every week for several years however £115 a month is still a lot of money for many people (myself included) for a 'non essential' One can if one wishes excersise by running or Cycling, swimming once in a while. Gym membership IS a luxury...
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.  I have heard the owls every night for the past couple of weeks  It is good to know they are here. They are quite loud so I think they are very near. I have never seen an owl in the wild before and wish I  could  see them.
