HMKing
Hi there / SalaamMy husband & I have just moved into the area and we were keen to find out if there are other ED Muslims floating? If so, does the local community have any meetups or get togethers? We'd love to meet the local community and get involved, but if there's nothing out there at the moment, and there are others who fancy a catch up over cake and coffee sometime, we'd love to hear from you.Peace and blessings to all. neilking81
Thanks Katie :) I'm not sure they have anything going especially as the mosque is just for prayers and is currently men only? We were just looking to see if there are any social gatherings, study circles or community initiatives we can get involved in so all thoughts welcomed :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/22444-fellow-east-dulwich-muslims/#findComment-530025 Share on other sites
El Pibe
You might have more luck in the what's on section or indeed in the main ED issues thread. They're an odd bunch in the lounge. Odd bunch that we are here in the lounge indeed. Good luck. Pugwash
The Dulwich Milan meets at the East Dulwich Community Centre. This was set up by a Muslim lady ( who is currently in Pakistan looking after her sick father) and although has many Muslims, likes to welcome all religions.Open to all ages and gender. Will recommence meetings when Bina returns from abroad. The East Dulwich Community Centre holds many Muslim socials - they tend to be around Eid and other religious daysMany members of the centre management committee are also Muslims Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/22444-fellow-east-dulwich-muslims/#findComment-530819 Share on other sites
