Drum practice room?

Hi all,

I'm a beginner drummer who's looking for somewhere to practice every now and then. I don't have my own kit. Does anyone know of a local space with a kit for rent?

You can hire a room with a kit at Antenna Studios in Crystal Palace or Overdrive Studios in Deptford.

You should definitely check beforehand about the 'kit' because usually you take your own cymbals and pedals and sometimes snare. The studio should have bass drum toms and cymbal stands and snare stand.

Thanks. Hoping for something a bit closer to home if possible. Someone mentioned a place in Nunhead but I don't have any details...

Ask in the Cafe facing the Co-op in Lordship Lane. A couple of local musicians were setting up a rehearsal room in their basement a couple of years ago.

Alternatively, ask the librarians or school officers or curators working at the Horniman Museum: I say so because they have a huge collection of musical instruments and lot of programmes of engagement with local groups. I guess they may know who knows where beginner drummers can find a place to practice...
