Beautiful Double Room with own Bathroom ?750

I am looking for a new flatmate in beautiful flat just of Goose Green, perfect location with great views. Please see more details below

THE FLAT:

This is a very spacious 2 bedroom top floor flat in a Victorian terrace house.

The flat has a separate living room and kitchen with high ceilings and sash windows so it has really great sense of space. The many skylights throughout the flat make it a very bright, airy, happy and inviting place to live.

THE ROOM:

The room is 750 a month excluding bills. Gas, electric, water, council tax and TV license come to around 140 on top of that. I can give an exact breakdown before visiting if you would like.

The room is a large double with a king size bed, wardrobe and fire place and a lot of built in storage space. With two large sash windows it has great light all year round. It also has its own separate bathroom.

THE AREA:

The flat is a 2 second walk from Lordship Lane the main high street with loads of of bars, restaurants and grocers. It really has a village feel and everything you will ever need is right on your doorstep. There is also a large Sainsbury's about a 15 minute walk away. The ever up and coming Peckham is only a 15 minute walk away with new bars and restaurants popping up all the time. There are also great train links from Peckham on the overground that go straight into Kings cross, Elephant and Castle, pretty much anywhere. East Dulwich station is 10 mins walk away which takes you into London Bridge in 13 minutes. Also Herne Hill, Brixton and Camberwell are all short bus rides away.

There are also some amazing parks nearby Peckham Rye Park is a 10 min walk and Dulwich Park near Dulwich Village is about a 20 min walk.

ME:

You would be sharing with just one other person which is myself. I am a freelance fashion designer (40), I currently work mainly from home and have other part time jobs in house but looking to go full time. I am into many things fashion, culture, music, art, yoga, botanical illustration, environment issues, gardening/garden design, plants and cooking to name a few.

I am looking for a like minded person, someone who is easy going, independent, kind with a sense of humour. Also a must to be clean, tidy, cooperative with flat decisions and respectful of others personal space.

The room is available from the 9th June but this date can be flexible.

You must earn 2.5 times the yearly rent. The agency need a passport, reference and a utility bill with your name and address on before you move, so they can do credit checks.

Please email me and let me know a little bit about yourself, any questions you have and we can arrange a viewing.

Thanks!

Claire

    • You can't refuse. TW allows you up to a 12 months after installation during which time you can continue with the fixed rate system. Then after 12 months you go on the meter rates regardless. The one benefit of this is that the meter send readings on an hourly basis and if you have consumption being registered, when you would not expect it,  (such as between 1am and 6am) , they will advise you that you have a leak somewhere and will give an estimate of how much extra this leakage will cost you after you go on the meter rates.  That way you can fix your lea(s) in advance and save money. If you cannot find the leak  inside the house, it may be outside underground, between your house and the water meter because your old lead pipe may be leaking. That stretch of pipe is your responsibility.  Then you can ask them to help you find it and if you play your cards nicely and catch the TW guy on a good day, then TW will replace your old 1" pipe with a new blue 25mm pipe.
    • Thank you to everyone who do drop off food while they were casting their votes, thanks also to those who enquired about volunteering. It doesn't have to be an election day though to do either though, so we would be grateful to receive donations and additional volunteer help any other day of the year too. We have also just added another string to our bow, and are now re-homing unwanted electricals too, so if you have any unwanted small electricals lurking at home that we can re-home, please drop them off to use to. We only ask that they are clean and working.  we will PAT test them and assuming all good, we will find a new home for them. The Community Fridge website has details, along with a wealth of other information Best wishes Steve Albrighton Community Fridge w: albrightoncommunityfridge.org i: albrighton_community_fridge_
    • Hello, TW installed ours in SE27 in October 2023, unprompted too. We just got a note through the letterbox informing us of the switch to smart meter and its serial number, after it was done.
    • I've recently moved into East Dulwich. I transferred my Thames Water account to my new address, and I  have received my bill for the year. But now I've received an email from them saying they'll be out on the 8th to fit my new smart meter, which was unrequested by me. I can probably refuse but I wanted to check here if perhaps there was a TW campaign to get these installed in the area? Thank you.
