I'm being discharged by my midwife this week and want to get her a gift but feel a bit weird about it because I don't know what to get and also don't know if there is a protocol about NHS staff accepting gifts or not!? Not sure about wine in case she doesn't drink, and husband reckons flowers are a no in case they wilt in her car after she visits us.

Has anyone else bought a gift for a midwife or have any good ideas of what to get? I want to say thank you to this amazing lady who helped me through a difficult 9 months and made sure I was ok through the whole journey over and above her duty... (I know she does it every day but she really made a difference to us).

Top budget about ?30/40 I guess. Any ideas gratefully received :-)

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
