Lovely meeting all you Autumn mums today! Despite Megan's no show - hopefully she will be less pram based next time!

Kate you mentioned a walk in Peckham Park later in the week that would be top weather permitting!

Amber good luck with arrival of baby no2 this week!

Becky

Hi Autumn babies club,

I'm due 9th November and officially on maternity leave - yay! I came to the first gathering at the Clockhouse but havn't been living in London for the past few months. I'm back now and it would be lovely to catch up with other mums/mums to be in the area if anyone fancies it. I'll keep an eye out for the next catch ups too.

Looking forward to meeting others,

Emma

Hi there expectant mums!

My name is Anna and I live in East Dulwich. I am doing a part-time masters in Child Development and as part of the course I need to observe a new baby in their home environment. I am currently looking for a mum who is either due to give birth in the next couple of months (or who has recently had a baby) who might be interested in participating?

The aim of the observation is for me to learn more about the growth and changes that occur in a baby between birth and 18 months and to develop my observational skills. The hour-long observation takes place once a week in the family home. The observation is intended to be entirely non obtrusive and the family can get on with their day to day routine as usual.

If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me:

I have a full-enhanced CRB, and a letter from the University, which explains the observation in more detail.

Thank you!

Anna

Hi Everyone,

I am a new mum in the area. My LO is 3 weeks this thursday and her name is Eliana. I would love to meet up on a Monday to socialise and make new friends. Congratulations to all with their new babes!

So it's at The Gardens at 10:30am on Mondays yes?

See you all soon :)

Hello, was so great to see and meet so many mums on Monday, and I look forward to meeting more this upcoming Monday, 10.30 at the Gardens. Also, shall we say Dulwich Park cafe at 3 for this Friday (perhaps we can do Peckham Rye park another day in the am?) for all those free and interested in meeting up? Look forward to hearing more baby news!

Ugh, in-laws have decided to drop by for lunch today unexpectedly. In fairness they are bringing lunch, and my mother in law will do all my ironing so can't complain. Kate, could we say tomorrow (Friday) lunch at Luca's before you head up to Dulwich Park? Anyone else want to join?

Hi Autumn BC Mums!

I have a 5 month old 'Spring baby' and am organising a social gathering where we swap and sell our baby stuff... A friend recommended I post here as alot of the stuff will be about the 0 - 6 month age group. You're welcome to come and sell stuff too (?2 seller's fee), it's at the Crooked Well on Tuesday 6th November from 10.30am.

You'll find all of the info here: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?25,973794,973794#msg-973794

Or PM me if you have any Qs.

We've never done this before so I don't know how it is going to go... there will be coffee and crumpets available so please come and socialise - even if you're not up for the 'swap and sell market' idea.

Best

Kath

Kate and Nat - I've been at the cafe for the past hour but can't spot you gals / anyone with one month old babies! Should have asked the colour of your coat/ colour of your pram sooner as I haven't met you before! Sheldon is crying so I need to get moving. Hope to meet you two / other local mums next time!

Hi all,

Afraid I've missed the last couple of meet ups, as my baby Matilda was born last Friday! We've not had a very straightforward time since, as Matilda had a lung infection and I had complications so our initially easy home birth has resulted in a protracted hospital stay after all. However, she's doing really well, although still in special care at kings, but hopefully we'll be home next week and I'll be able to make it along to a meet up before too long!

Becky

Hi Becky,

Good to hear from you and get an update - sorry tou're not having the easiest go of it. Look forward to seeing you and baby Matilda (love the name!) as soon as things are running smoothly! Lopk forward to seeing those who can make it tomorrow!

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
