There is a petition calling for the police to reverse that decision: https://www.change.org/p/metropolitan-police-let-protesters-march-against-trump-on-4th-june?recruiter=198717631&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition

They would not need to close the whole of Whitehall, Dulwich Fox, and were not intending to.

Not from what I understand, anyway.

ETA: My understanding was that they were going to block off part of the middle so that demonstrators could not gather near the entrance to Downing Street, and also could not walk down Whitehall directly between Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square, but would have to go a longer way round.

...Saudi who?

What about boycotting Brunei...?

I do so love selective outrage/moral relativity. ;-)

That's the US Ambassador Woody Johnson (family company Johnson and Johnson).

Not before Khan was disrespectful to Trump- Khan is taking the visit as a great opportunity for electioneering...

And in reply to ZT...Trump was elected many people obviously supported his policies and are still happy with them. I am not sure where his decision about the transgender people in the military is coming from but that is for them to decide and I dare say the military have reported on the cost of surgeries and treatment and the disruption to service by transgender soldiers and a decision was made. I do believe that the democrats will jump on anything they can to smear Trump- much like the attitude of the far-left in the UK ...after all that is the nature of the filthy world of politics...and at the end of the day 'we' all love an endless supply of cheap labour- it kind of fits in with 'I want that and I want it NOW'

Wrong on all counts. You appear to be a Trump supporter and notice the way you slip in your view on transgender and the military. Also your use of the word "filthy". All round depressing.

Ooo... We shouldn't take things out of context.

Trump openly tweeted:

"Sadiq Khan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly 'nasty' to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me.

Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job - only half his height.

In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now."

I completely agree with him because he's right.

You wont find the far-left boycotting anyone of colour. It wouldn't support their narrative of being anti-racist. :)

Takes me back to a very interesting "debate". This gave me the tickles.

The truth & reality of the situation is that the UK will be leaving the EU - that is what the majority of Britain voted for. Whilst those who voted remain are busy doing this

or storming the streets like the sore losers that they are, the fact still stands that we are due to leave the EU, so I'm curious to know whether they've been spending any of the past 2 years productively thinking of ways to help themselves.

I take it the far-left are more comfortable with a hard-Brexit than they make out to be, given that they're chasing away our greatest ally.

    • Hi, oglander , Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive little lion - how exciting! It's always lovely to hear someone taking the adoption route (shelters are having a major crisis at the moment!). I've been in business for 15 years & can say with certainty that most cat owners in Dulwich have catflaps so, not only are they easy to have installed, but you shouldn't find yourself short of helping hands on these local forums. A catflap is a brilliant way to keep your little lion safely in overnight as well as generally keeping track of their comings & goings. I'd be happy to walk you through the set up once you've chosen your model (SureFlap & PetSafe are two popular brands). I'm sure the rescue has already advised, but just in case they haven't, it'll be very important to keep your newly adopted cat housebound for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with their new home. Once they've scent-mapped the house, you can gradually begin letting them out to explore & scent-map the garden. Exciting times! x
    • Hello all,  If your child goes to this gym club: since the new payment system, have you received clear information about the cost per session, the cost per term and when sessions will be omitted eg for school opened days? (I have asked the club, more than once, no full response so far) This term started in late August, before school had gone back (did many attend that session?). Next term there is no break for half term, so there are 12 sessions to be paid. Does that seem to be more sessions than there used to be?    I am sure they are doing their best, but the info from the new auto pay system isn’t detailed enough, and the auto pay just takes an unspecified amount. I wondered if it’s just me (wanting more detail), or if there are others too? (my child loves the gym itself!) thanks
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service! We had one of Paul Edgley’ s team come to fit some new lights in our living room. They were able to come at reasonably short notice, arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and did a great job. Everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, and the lights look fantastic. Highly recommend! Paul’s contact details are 07802 627967
