To be fair, it is still light at 21:30 at the moment.

This is quite shocking how he would assault you first and then rob you. Even though i doubt he would try something with me, it is good to be aware. May i ask, were you crossing the road at the time? Or did he mount the pavement?

I thought that - but they seem to operate on shove you maybe shout abuse and then snatch and then they're gone (they watch you first too)

I was so upset when it happened to me the police stayed with me for a while - maybe because it shouldn't happen to me.

What do you mean John? Shouldn't happen to anyone really. Apologies in advance if it's a special case!

I?m afraid it will happen to anyone , mostly people that can?t defend themselves like elderly or women with kids, my mum was robbed broad daylight by a young black kid and when I stated this I was told I was a racist , and rite now let me mention that I am using my friends account to write this so if anyone is upset about anything I say then just bare that in mind please

Anyway after being robbed my mum suffered a stroke and she did not even know who I was on and off for a couple days , yh my mum suffers from high blood pressure what contributes to it but and the end of the day my mum is not the same and she will never be the same again , that happened 2 year ago outside old Iceland

And only last week I was leaving a friends house on waghorn st at about 1.30am I had my dog with me she was off the lead just wondering as she does , anyways some black African guy in he?s 20s wearing grey shorts and blue hoodie was walking towards me from a distance and he turned of around the corner , so I thought he went about he?s business, but as I turned the corner he sort of jogged towards me and pulled out a big fantasy looking weapon with jagged edges and spikes sticking out all over the gaff big handle and then my dog turned the corner and he froze and was just looking past me , like through me sort of thing like he had no intention or something , I asked him if he was ok and he just nodded and I kept looking at he?s hands and it was only then that I could confirm 100% what he had in he?s hands , I called my dog close by and walked with her in the middle of the road as I wanted space around me to feel safe as doing this he just sprinted off

It?s constant , people will get robbed today tomorrow and the next day , as a matter a fact I bet someone is getting robbed rite this second within the se15 post code

Atleast a couple standings a week etc

No need to mention colours or races

Be safe and do what u got to do

If there is "no need to mention colour or races"......why do you keep mentioning colour or races in your post?

Assaults and muggings are dreadful and traumatic- the person's skin or country of origin is not relevant unless it is a descriptor for the police to identify them

Its likely kids from the local estates in Peckham targeting the area as its known for its well to do, well off inhabitants.

When i lived in a rough part of Peckham, i rarely heard of or saw muggings like the ones described here (more street violence linked to feuds), which suggests they dont want to crap on their own doorstep. That being said, i would be surprised if it didn't happen there too, and everywhere in fact.

Unfortunately there is little that can be done about it. The Police are too stretched to assign a resource in the hope of catching a kid with a knife on the rob around East Dulwich, just have to be vigilant against these utter scumbags.

Nah - It's me - I thought I had acting confident and deterring them down to a tee even when alone and after a pint or two. I was wrong.

You can't possibly know this for sure - you are speculating.

Well why mention race when everyone really knows what race around here is the biggest problem , and it will stop loads of cheesy uproars just by not mentioning a race at all.

Also of course it would be relevent to mention colour and race as part of description for anyone local walking the area to be a bit more aware of what to look for.

There are quite a lot of people that think they are untouchable just because they have been taking karate lessons but please everyone all jokes aside just be careful.

I?m telling you now there is so much crime around here it?s unreal the amount of incidents that have happened around if there are no witnesses then it all just gets swept under the carpet especially gang violence.

My friend was stabbed 4 times up by rye hotel late at night no witnesses so he just gets scooped up and taken away as soon as so no one sees or here?s all the posh people are still happy thinking that they are living in the up and coming , to be honest most that don?t see or realise I think are just living in there little bubble with rainbows and butterflies, got to get out and realise what is really happening out in the real world

Anyways I?m gonna get off poor old Freddie?s account , sort one out myself now

    • Big recommendation for Stephen Viccary who has created a magnificent bathroom for us. Quality of work is absolutely top notch. We couldn't be happier - see pics.  Stephen is considerate and tidy meaning working from home during the work was fine (some noise - obviously, it is a demo and installation after all. He does not work on multiple jobs, does a full days work and does ALL the work himself - Tiling, plumbing, lighting (including lighting on a motion sensor under the vanity and in the shower niche - for night time visits 😉), he even changed the door architraves, sorted the badly cracked ceiling and did all the paint work. A full end to end service. Stephen's number - 07941 266 145
    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
