It was a very enjoyable evening, somewhat depleted by the lurgy. Good food with an unfamiliar menu, so it took some time to work out who wanted what.

The service was friendly but a little disorganised. Our unfamiliarity with the menu was matched by the waiters unfamiliarity which caused some confusion.

I had the lentil doughnuts with sambar followed by a chana dish with puri, onion and tomato salsa and raita, all good stuff.

This is ridiculous!

I have had a PM from another regular saying that they cant do Mondays, so that leaves Fridays, which I suspect is not going to be a popular day as people will have weekend things to be doing.

We have always tried to change days month by month as people have do commitments on particular days of the week. That way nobody is completely excluded. I have missed at least 2 because of other commitments, and I organise them!

So, I suggest Wednesday 19th as the least worst option. The last meetings have been on a Thursday, Tuesday and Monday. At the Dulwich Tandoori.

    • Greg is a massively skilled, talented, meticulous, careful and lovely man who can turn his hand to anything and make it beautiful. He's decorated many rooms in our formerly tatty old house, fitted a beautiful (and very complicated) bathroom, and taken on some fairly serious building jobs including structural ones implementing an engineer's design. He solves problems, works openly and collaboratively on plans, and his standards are impeccable. He's also a lovely guy to have around. I'd have him back and recommend him to anyone, with no hesitation.  By way of further testimonial, he's ended up doing work for half our street through neighbour recommendations and EVERYONE who has used his services is delighted.
    • Thanks very much, it's helpful to know who takes them 🙏
    • They are leaning in from the verge and chopping branches from the trees they don’t like the look of. These are people who mowed their lawns twice weekly during NoMow May, and treat all wild flowers and plants as weeds. They can’t be convinced otherwise. I wish the Dulwich Estate would promote biodiversity more proactively, instead of merely paying lip service.
